SimplyNoise - Free White Noise App Reviews

This is amazing technology that I am bound to used again and again. I only wish that the information in the settings would scroll so I could read all of it and maybe know what the different noise colors were for.

I too have noticed the volume level drops significantly every night after about 10 minutes. This happened before but seems like the problem was fixed and then it started happening again. I had started turning the app off and then back on but the volume level still would drop after about 10 minutes. PLEASE FIX THIS because I really have enjoyed this virtual white noise app over the actual white noise device. I use this app on trips and its been wonderful, but this problem needs to be fixed.

Ive been carrying around a white noise machine for years on trips. Its bulky but super effective. A friend suggested I start tiring some apps. The brown noise at 70% on this app is so similar to my physical device, its just awesome. Another thing I really like is youre not using any data of your data plan when youre using it. You can prove that by turning your phone to airplane mode while using it.

Crashes a lot. Avoid setting the timer + having the accelerometer register a screen rotation.

I could not get through life without this. Its so helpful towards keeping me alert, motivated, and happy. White noise is perfect for calming me down and keeping me alert, while pink noise helps me work and be concentrated. Brown noise puts me to sleep, and I have insomnia. God bless simplynoise.

I would have given this five stars if I had reviewed it earlier, but unfortunately it is now broken. A simple, elegant soothing noise generator but not updated for iOS 7. The oscillate feature can no longer be used when running in background because the volume level view remains active. Very disappointing since I used this feature a lot. Has this app been abandoned by its developers?

I dont remember what I paid, not much. But the paid version of the app doesnt have the basics I would expect, and that I do get from other apps. Namely, the ability to play more than one color noise simultaneously, and to play under other audio app. I would like the oscillation, except instead of modulating itself, it turns my headphone volume up & down! Every other white noise app I have is a better product at a better value.

This is the most unreliable and slow loading app on my iPhone 5. Why is an app whose only purpose is to mimic their website so bad at what it does? Animations are useless and add to how cumbersome this app feels and often times it will just stop playing sound requiring me to close and reopen the app.

I never write reviews but this is the best app i have. makes the ringing in my ears disappear. I fall asleep so much faster with this app. its amazing. Thank you

Recently bought this to use while studying for CCNP in a house with young children. Coupled with Bose over the ear headphones, was pure bliss!

the guy who sits next to me at work is constantly whistling and the only time hes not, is when hes busy sounding like a cow whos foot is stuck in the mud because hes chewing with his mouth open. I crank the white noise on my headphones and I cannot hear anything else. I listen to this cuz it doesnt distract me from thinking, like music does. I find it actually helps me concentrate and focus more. listening to nothing is not an option when u sit next to an annoying coworker who has manners sub par to a yellow lab. thank you for making this app!!! you have saved this misophoniac much pain! (and my coworker ;)

I love this sound app its the best one Ive ever had. I like the choices of different noises plus the oscillation. I give it the best rating I highly recommend Simplynoise.

I work about 5 from someone who routinely moved her lips while reading, and is incessantly talking - whether about her work or her own life. The WhiteNoise is a welcomed mask in order to concentrate. Great app!

The noises kind of just sound like static at different pitches. They honestly do the opposite of calm me down or make me more concentrated. They just make me stressed out and give me a headache.

The construction outside my building has cost me many sleepless mornings and grouchy days. I read about this app and paid the 99 cents (rare occurrence lol). Worth every one of those 99 pennies. I put my headphones in and the pink noise and i drift into rem sleep so quickly. I wake up so refreshed. GET THIS if you want to drain out noise and just sleeeeepp.

This app seems to work well to mask the bass of the neighbor next door although there are a couple of things that are just baffling to me. First, why have the timer default be 22+ hours? It would be great if it remembered what I set it for the previous night. Also, this turns the overall play volume down on everything else- if I am going to listen to iTunes or pandora the next day I have to adjust the gasoline from 0. It would be nice if it were a bit friendlier in those ways. Still, does the job and is cheaper than a physical machine.

I use it at work to block out noisy coworkers in open floor seating, at home to get my baby to sleep and each night when Im sleeping as well. It doesnt have any of those weird repetitive sounds on loop like some white noise tracks - its just like having a nice consistent fan or static in the background. You can also pick between a few wavelengths (my favorite is brown noise) to find something that appeals to your ears. Its one of my most used apps and I cant live without it.

Ive used this app and website for several years now and have enjoyed every bit of it. Typically, I prefer Pink Noise and am able to reduce outside noise, increase privacy, and soothe my busy mind. The nature sounds are very enjoyable to me as well.

I never write reviews for anything. I had to write a review for this app. Im the kind of person that has to have complete silence to sleep. If someone is talking or I can hear any noise at all, it keeps me up. Sometimes I also have trouble falling asleep when my brain is too busy. This app puts me to sleep so easily and drowns out all the noise. I use it every night. Its especially helpful when Im staying at my friends house and his guest room is connected to his dads office where I can hear him typing and printing away at 3am lol. I turn on the white noise at full volume and Im out. Its simple and it works. Fantastic app. So glad I found it.
