SimplyNoise - Free White Noise App Reviews

I am in love with this app! The "brown noise" is not only great for me - but my dogs love it too!! It sounds weird to say but my ears actually relax when this is turned on! I havent tried it when I have a migraine, but Id like to see if it helps there too.

Just downloaded this app and it now works great when docked. Worked in my Bose and rCube with no issues. Great app.

I really like this app for the sound it produces, its my favourite to fall asleep to. However, I find the user experience to be a bit clunky. Its one easy click to mute it, but there is no way to pause the sound - you can only shut down the app, or keep it running on mute, which drains your battery. Similarly, if I pull the earphones out of my phone, the sound continues through my speakers, rather than pausing as other apps do. I also dislike that there isnt a simple way to have the sleep timer repeat once it has run out - you have to reopen the app, go into the time, and then set it again. I just want a 1-click repeat button.

Ive used this app a lot to help my baby get to sleep. The sound it generates is great (though better through headphones) but the app has a few quirks, specifically that its quite hard to turn off once its running in the background. It also hasnt been updated for a while. If you have iOS 7 and choose an oscillation mode the volume meter will be permanently on-screen making the device hard to use.

Noise and functions are great, but they do not play well with other apps or trying to have the app running in the background. Trying to have it oscillate while reading or using another app, it takes over the entire iPads volume control, and the center pop up stays there as if I were manually adjusting the volume for oscillation. They need to fix this app so it runs smoothly in the background, as I like to use my iPad for something other that just staring at their plain UI.

I love the app but unfortunately the favicon and the first demo screen are not so much harmonized design. In the first place, the favicon is dim on the retina display (iOS5.0) ... The main screen is very neat and I like the simplicity.

Great for the train, but it needs a stop upon removing headphones option and a much easier to turn off feature.

The icon is just terrible. I love this app and use it every day. Im just begging you, please, change it :(

Nice app, but it does not remember settings and previous state at all, and so offers fantastic random defaults for timer. Its only bad thing about this app.

Overall, I like and appreciate this app. However, when launching the app, I always have to unmute it (despite never muting it), and it take a while for the icons to slowly "appear." Im fairly certain this is for visual appeal, rather than being due to function, but because I use this app several times a day the slow load has become immensely irritating. I would rate 5/5 if the app started up right away without the need to unmute.

Simple app that works great to drown out noise when working, studying, reading, sleeping, riding on a plane, etc.

The app is fairly simple and works well. However, there are a lot of errors that occur with volume control. Take one example: when another application takes control of the volume (e.g. a phone call) SimplyNoise will resume playback as expected but no sound will play. It is as if the internal playback volume of the app is not syncd correctly to the volume of the iPhone itself.

I love this application, and I use it on a daily basis. However, there is NEVER a time where I want it to start with the volume at 100%, but it does that more often than not. I cannot count the number of times I turn on the app, only to have my ears blown out because it launches with the volume at 100%. It would be great if the app always started, regardless of volume settings on other apps, at 0%, then I could gently turn it up from there. What would even be better is if it had a preference where I could set the volume at exactly where I want it, and it would start there every time. Id give the app five stars if it didnt deafen me about half the time.

It baffles me that this app, which asks for people to pay money for, still hasnt fixed the same interface issues of 2+ years ago! Why does the volume square remain on my screen blocking me from using other apps? Why is the oscillating feature go from extreme loud to extreme quiet? Why not allow users to chose how loud or quiet it gets when oscillating? Why do the buttons fade away two seconds after I stop touching the screen? Why all these illogical things that make me delete the app two minutes after downloading it? (And downloading it again 6 months later hoping issues will be resolved and being disappointed again?) At least they fixed the oscillation option so it wasnt jumpy, erratic and unusable. Only took them two years to do it. So disappointed I paid money for this.

When using oscillate the volume icon overlays everything on my screen making it impossible to use my iPhone or iPad for anything else.

Iphone 7; this app does not work!!!!

Please update for ios 7, its glitchy.
