SimplyNoise - Free White Noise App Reviews

I loved this app on my iPhone 4S while it still had iOS 6. With iOS 7, Ive noticed the oscillation effect lowers the brown noise to almost 0%, regardless of whether it oscillation is set to high, medium, or low. Totally defeats the purpose. Hope this is just temporary.

Pretty glitchy. It doesnt work right when plugged in to a dock which is a huge pain. The oscillation is the only compromise for me and my husband and it wont work when plugged in. Hes the only reason I got it. Im looking for a better app right now. I wish I hadnt bought it.

Ive been using this app to make white noise to block out household sounds while the baby is sleeping, and it has been great. We have it running on an old iPad in the nursery all night. When shes fussy while we are out, I just turn it on and throw my iPhone in the stroller with her. Worth every penny!

The app disables the ringer. Good thing I awoke to the sound of vibrations. Please fix. I am on call for work and need to hear my ringer.

So this app is gorgeous, easy to use, and cool if you JUST WANT SIMPLE NOISE. I didnt read when I purchased but it doesnt have anything else like rain, fire, etc. BUT for what it does provide it does it very well.

I loved this app in iOS 6, but in 7 the audio is too soft. Also, the oscillation spread needs to be smaller. Its too extreme from silent to loud now. Oscillation is what made this app the best for me. I loved the variation in white noise volume. It made the sound more organic. I hope they update to iOS 7 soon.

The app behaves strangely on iOS 7. Oscillator doesnt work. Volume adjustment doesnt work with the buttons. Volume knob appearance changes and the volume is hard to get just right. Wait for an update before buying.

3 weeks ago, I developed a steady ringing in my ears which drove me crazy the first two days. I have been adapting to it, but I guess its also got me stressed since Im not sleeping well. This app helps to mask the tinnitus and make it tolerable, and somewhat helps me sleep. I need to work on some relaxation techniques too, because my insomnia is really bad. But the app is very helpful to make the ringing less noticeable and I recommend it for anyone with tinnitus.

Great app for iOS 6 and its got some issues for iOS 7. Most annoying is that the iPhone volume screen shows up when in other apps while this is running....volume is very odd and flaky. Please update it soon!

Its working fine with iOS 7, its on a charger, Im using an iPhone 5s, and its masking my neighbors annoying heat pump. Im using white noise over a Bluetooth speaker between me and the heat pump and its steady rather than oscillating. The only problem, and it probably wont bother you, is that it keeps making me think about the TV in "Poltergeist". If I should suddenly hear a disembodied voice saying "Theyre baaaack!" Ill not be very surprised.

They need to fix some glitches. Volume icon wont disappear when oscillation is on, kind of annoying if I want the noise while I browse or whatever. Also range of oscillation needs some tweaking.

First, the sound is fantastic! And tied for first is the OUTSTANDING design! Sleek, simple and gorgeous. My favorite sound is brown noise. The ONLY problem with this app is that when I play the noises with the oscillation feature (which is like an exquisite brain massage!) I cant play the app in the background, because even though the app closes and the sound continues, a big square with the volume icon wont go away...and blocks my view. I hope this will be fixed! If it were not for this major flaw, it would be perfection.

I use the brown noise with ear buds whenever I get a migraine, seems very calming.

The large volume slider, a focal point of this apps design, now disappears when you touch it in the modern version of iOS.

I really feel like I fall asleep faster & am more rested in the morning.

I am so glad I purchased this app. It is the best 99 cents I have ever spent. The oscillating feature is just what my ADHD brain needs to stay focused on my studies.

Great Application for on the road. However, Reactors SimplyRain application supports airplay. I use the airplay feature to run through my Yamaha A3020 Reciever. However the SimplyNoise Application does not support Airplay.

Name says it all. Fantastic app that does its job well with no cruft.
